Distinguished Chess Journalists
Nominations Needed
Nominations are needed to recognize three people for a lifetime of excellence in chess journalism. Their names will be on a Distinguished Chess Journalists wall plaque at US Chess Headquarters. The honorees will be:
- One nationally known deceased chess journalist.
- One nationally known living chess journalist.
- One chess journalist at the regional, state, or local level.
National chess journalists are normally well known. However, local chess journalists often work in relative obscurity. We ask for nominations, especially for regional, state, or local chess journalists, in all varieties of print and online journalism. Nominees (living and deceased) need not be from your state. Self-nominations are welcome.
PLEASE PASS THIS ON TO YOUR CHESS JOURNALISTS
What’s Needed:
- A list of the nominee’s significant works with working links. PDF files in a zipped folder are also acceptable.
- If available, the nominee’s contact info.
Send nominations and self-nominations to:
- Joshua Anderson, joshuamiltonanderson@gmail.com
- Jim Hollingsworth, chessartiste@gmail.com
NOMINATION DEADLINE: APRIL 15, 2024
