Notice is hereby given that the annual membership meeting of Chess Journalists of America will be held in conjunction with the U.S. Open at 2:00pm on Thursday, August 1, 2024. It will be located at the Sheraton Norfolk Waterside Hotel, 777 Waterside Drive, Norfolk, VA 23510.

The membership should be aware that the day and time of meeting were determined by US Chess because it is the organizer of the U.S. Open. The resolution of the Board of Directors calling this meeting should be viewed only as a formality. Any resulting conflicts with other meetings are therefore out of our control.

Members may attend in-person or by video conference. A link to access the Zoom meeting will be posted on the website at a later time. All members whose memberships are valid on the day of the meeting will be allowed to present motions and vote.

Advance motions must be submitted to the Secretary by 11:59pm on July 18, 2024. All bylaws amendments must be submitted as advance motions in a timely manner to be considered at the meeting.
